Hero Super Splendor BS6 Price, Mileage, Specification
Kolkata, Auto Desk: Hero MotoCorp has upgraded its Hero Super Splendor and launched its BS6 compliant model. From April 1, 2020, only BS6 engine vehicles will be sold in the country. Like other two-wheeler companies, Hero MotoCorp has started upgrading its portfolio to BS6 emission standards.
In such a situation, if we talk about Hero’s popular bike Super Splendor, in which the company has also made outlook updates along with mechanical changes. Changes have also been made to the brakes, suspension, and dimensions of this bike coming in the 125cc segment. Apart from this, you will also get new color schemes in two variants of this bike. In the BS6 model, you will get Hero’s i3S or ‘idle start-stop system’ technology, which will give you a better riding experience while riding a bike.
Engine and Performance:
Hero Super Splendor BS6 has a 125 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with BS6 compliant power, which is equipped with XSens technology. The new engine generates power of 10.73 bhp at 7500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. It has a new 5-speed gearbox.
In BS4 emission the engine was Horizontal but in this new BS6 model the engine will be Vertical and now includes a fuel injection system instead of a carburetor. Apart from this, Hero’s i3S technology has been given, which will give more mileage than the previous BS4 model.
5-speed transmission:
The power output of the BS6 engine is now less than before the BS4 model, but the transmission with this engine is now available in a 5-speed unit, whereas the BS4 Super Splendor had a 4-speed transmission. In such a situation, you will now get better performance for the long ride.
Hero Super Splendor BS6 new Look:
In BS6 Super Splendor, the Hero has done some cosmetic changes. New graphics are now seen in this bike. Apart from this, it comes with a fresher and trendy look than the previous BS4 model.

BS6 model comes in two variants in the Indian market. These include Drum Brake and Disc Brake.
Color Variants:
BS6 Hero Super Splendor comes in four color variants in the Indian market. These include Metallic Nexus Blue, Glaze Black to Heavy Gray, and Candy Blazing Red.
More Suspension Travels:
New BS6 emission Super Splendor gets 14 percent extra ride suspension at the front and 9 percent more ride suspension at the rear. Along with these features, better ground clearance will also be seen for challenging roads and that will prove to be very helpful for people in rural areas.
New price:
The updated Hero Super Splendor BS6 is priced at Rs 5,500 more than the BS4 variant. The Delhi Ex-showroom price of drum brake variants of BS6 Hero Super Splendor is Rs 67,300. What is new in Super Splendor BS6 model?
Apart from the BS6 compliant engine, the Super Splendor has a new rigid diamond-frame chassis. The travel of its suspension has been increased. The travel of its front telescopic forks has been increased by 15 mm. At the same time, its rear shock absorber has been increased by 7.5 millimeters. Its ground clearance has been increased by 20 millimeters, after which it has been increased to 180 millimeters. It has a new seat which is 45 mm longer than the previous model. This new motorcycle also has the option of disc brake, which has a 240 mm disc brake at the front. At the same time, a 130 mm drum brake unit is given in its rear. For safety, it has a CBS feature.
